WEAK SOUND AND VOICING

The overall sound of this C Bass by Mollenhauer is weak and lacks from harmonics. Keys are not high quality and that is out of the question for a pro (and not exactly cheap) instrument. What strikes my most is the inner bore, it may work for a regular f bass but it is so small it is not appropriate for a large instrument. The result is a thin and poor sound instead of a deep and rich quality one would expect from a C bass. Last but not least is the nightmare you will have to assemble and disassemble its 5 sections, they adjust so tightly you'll need a pair of extra hands and it will not be easy even then.

Der Canta-Knick Großbass von Mollenhauer hat einen weichen, runden Klang und spricht über 2 Oktaven leicht an. Er ist in sich stimmig und tonrein. Er benötigt nicht viel Luft, sodass auch längere Passagen gut gespielt werden können. Die Klappen sind alle leichtgängig, gut verarbeitet und stören nicht (durch lautes Klappern) den Klangeindruck. Durch die vielen Klappen und das geteilte Mittelstück lässt sich der Bass individuell so drehen, dass er gut auch mit kleinen Händen gegriffen werden kann.

Hilfreich ist das Zubehör: Der Ständer zum Spielen im Stehen und der Tragegurt. Der passende Koffer ist durch den integrierten Ständer sehr praktisch.

Mein erster Bass, und dann auch noch ein Grossbass! Ich bin überwältigt von diesem Instrument. Voller, voluminöser & überraschend-schöner/eleganter Bass-Klang, leichte Ansprache über 2 Oktaven, wenig Luftverbrauch, im Sitzen oder stehend zu spielen. Klappen und Mechanik hervorragend, keine Störgeräusche. Einfaches Zusammenstecken aller Teile vorzugsweise mit Vaseline (anstatt mit mitgeliefertem Korkfett), dann geht es viel leichter. Wunderschöner, praktischer Koffer und viel nützliches Zubehör. Instrument wurde heil und völlig ohne Kratzer oder Beschädigungen geliefert. DHL Tracking-Status hingegen kann man vergessen & sich nicht darauf verlassen... Lieferung von D in die CH innert 1 Woche. Absolut empfehlenswert zu diesem Preis.
